Our clients were looking for a railing to complement their rustic lodge in New York City, so we designed and fabricated an interior railing system with an industrial look. We used “Copper Vein” powder-coated steel for the posts and wood for the top rail. The Chicago Style cable railing posts are made to be fascia mounted and to complement the rustic natural knotty pine boards used throughout the interior. The posts are designed to have open cutouts and a tapered appearance that complements a rustic or industrial design aesthetic with open beams and exposed structural elements. The railing system was made to seamlessly transition along the upper-level open balcony loft, along the bridge, and down the stairs. To create a contrast to the knotty pine the top rail of choice is dark stained oak. As part of our design process for our railing projects, we started by making 3D CAD renderings of the railings for this homes loft, bridge and stairs. The renderings helped the client to better visualize the finished project. We made renderings of the loft, bridge, and stairs. We also provide wood top rails and handrails with a variety of wood species and profiles to select from.
