This contemporary log cabin in Republic, Washington has incredible views of the surrounding mountains and pine tree forest. The octagon-shaped home has a minimalist style inspired by nature; it has a timber frame and a green garage door that blend in beautifully with the landscape.

When the homeowners contacted us about designing a railing system for the cabin’s deck, they said they wanted the railing to match the home’s modern rustic architecture and to preserve the deck’s stunning views. They chose our Ithaca Style railing with custom forest green powder-coated steel posts that match the garage door, roof, and surrounding pine trees. The railing has a wood top rail that imitates the home’s timber frame and gives the deck a cohesive look.
